Obituary for Carmine (memorial April 2, 2022) Pizzano
Carmine Paul Pizzano, 83,of Montclair passed away peacefully on March 30, 2020.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Montclair on April 2nd, 2022.
Carmine was born on February 10, 1937 in Old Forge, Pennsylvania: and, his family eventually settled in Montclair (Pine Street). Carmine met his wife Connie, the love of his life, when he was 14 years old. Carmine was the football star(“All Metro” offensive guard and nose-tackle), and Connie was the twirler. They were married following HS graduation; and, shortly thereafter, he entered the US Marine Corps (1956-1958).During his time in the Marines, he had the honor of driving CNO Admiral Burke. Carmine served(proudly)in the Montclair Police Dept for 26 years,reached the rank of Lieutenant prior to retirement, and also served as Local 53 PBA President. In addition, he worked in the produce department of the A&P for 33 years.Carmine enjoyed his time in the casino, along with some of the finer things in life -including cigars, hot dogs & CocaCola!!
Carmine was predeceased by his wife Connie (nee Testa), his parents Paul & Josephine Pizzano, brothers Dominick, Paul & Raymond. He is survived by his loving daughters, Theresa DeAngelis (Dr. Tom) of Warren Township, and Cheryl McCabe (Sean) of Cedar Grove; as well as five grandchildren, Tommaso and Marcello DeAngelis; and Casey(TJ), Meaghan and Sean Paul McCabe-whom he loved dearly.Carmine is also survived by his younger brother, Joseph along with many nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, and friends who became family.
