Obituary for George Lynch
George Lynch, 78, of Montclair, passed away on March 30th at his home and surrounded by his loving family.
George was a production engineer for VitaQuest in West Caldwell for over 30 years and retired at the age of 75.
George was widely known as his grandchildren’s biggest fan and was a familiar face at all school and sporting events.
He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend Gail, his three children: Kim DeMunno and her husband Frank, Tammy Male and her husband Michael and Scott Lynch and his wife Susan, his brother Richard Lynch and his wife Onda and his sister Denise VanHouten and her husband Arthur. He leaves behind seven adored grandchildren who loved him very much; Lindsay, Lauren, Frankie, Caroline, Charlie, Christopher, and Michael. George is predeceased by his parents George and Gloria Lynch.
Visitation will be held Monday April 4th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Caggiano Memorial 62 Grove St Montclair. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday April 5th at Saint Cassian’s church in Upper Montclair followed by an interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
