Alexander Joseph Walters, 30, was a beacon of light, generosity and athletic prowess. Zander, as most of us called him, passed on February 4th, 2022. Through his battle with darkness, he left a path of light for us all to follow. He could make you feel like part of the family with just a few words and a deep hug. He could also sell you a hot soup on a summer day.

He graduated from Bergen Catholic in 2009, where he achieved US All-American honors in lacrosse. He would take his talents to University of North Carolina on a scholarship and graduated in the spring of 2013. Upon graduation, he began work in business development for Heidi Daus LTD and spent a lot of his free time coaching and mentoring young lacrosse players, many of whom would go on to play in college, thanks to his commitment to their growth.

Zander is survived by his parents, Heidi and Jim; step-parents, Mitch and Cindy; and three brothers, James, Shane and Michael. He will be forever missed as a cheerful, gregarious and upbeat member of his family and community.
