Montclair - Barbara J. Brooks 83 passed away on Tuesday October 24, 2023.
Barbara was born March 11, 1940, in Hawkinsville, Georgia to the late Lucius and
Cora Hall.
Barbara was a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She
found the greatest joy in servicing others. She enjoyed sharing a warm meal,
accompanying loved ones to appointments, babysitting the neighborhood
children or lending a listening ear. Barbara was a certified Nurse's Aide who took
care of many sick patients. Her greatest service of all was that of serving Jehovah.
Barbara dedicated her life to Jehovah and shared the good news wherever she
would go.
She is survived by her daughters, Constance Brooks of Parsippany, NJ; Linda
Brooks of Parsippany, NJ; Teresa Brooks Mitchell, husband Raymond of Brockton,
MA; Grand daughters, Nastassia Brooks Haskins, husband Marc of Mount Laurel,
NJ; Tanisha Brooks Ross, husband Donald Jr. of Somerset, NJ; Great Grandsons,
Aiden Haskins, Aaron Haskins of Mount Laurel, NJ; Cousins, Kenneth Thompson,
wife Vinnette of McDonough, GA; Carlton Thompson of New York, NY; and a host
of other relatives, friends, and neighbors.
She was predeceased by her parents, Lucius and Cora Hall, son Erwin Brooks,
sister Carolyn Hardy, Uncle and aunt, George and Martha Thompson.
