C. Joseph Heckel IV, 43, of Glen Ridge, passed away on March 2, 2020. Visiting hours Saturday March 7th, from 1-4pm at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair. A service will begin at 4pm at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.



Joey was born in Newark before moving to Glen Ridge in 1989. He worked for George Kilgen Landscaping in Glen Ridge, O'Donnell Signs in Bloomfield, and bartendended at The HAT in West Orange. Joey's huge heart and caring nature afforded him many friends. Friends that he would always consider family. He would give the shirt of his back to anyone in need. Joey was best known for his love of sports, especially his beloved Yankees and Raiders.



He is survived by his mother, Cecilia Heckel, his sister Lori DiTrani, a nephew Dylan Joseph DiTrani, and by many family members, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his father, Charles J. Heckel III.
