Carmine Zichelli passed away at the age of 95, on July 29, 2025. He was born and raised in Montclair. Carmine served his country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict as a baker.

In civilian life Mr. Zichelli worked as a construction laborer and later a custodian for the Montclair public school system, until his retirement. Carmine was an avid N.Y. Yankees fan and was fond of bowling and playing poker.

Carmine was predeceased by his loving wife Marcedes (DiGeronimo), his parents, Michael and Cora. His sisters, Connie and Anna, and brothers, Michael, Leonard, James, Vito, and Rocco.

There will be a Catholic mass at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church on Saturday August 2nd, 2025.
