Catherine Roth, 80, of Riverdale, NJ, passed away on September 3, 2024, surrounded by her family. Born June 28, 1944, in Orange, NJ, Catherine was the third of eight children of George and Alice McCarthy. Catherine graduated from Montclair High School. For twenty-six years she served as an administrative assistant with the Montclair School District. A loving wife and mother, Catherine raised seven children and enjoyed being active in their lives and supporting all their endeavors. She was the ultimate sports mom, and if you needed to find her for the better part of the 1990's/early 2000's, there was no better place to look than Woodman Field.

Catherine is survived by her husband, William Roth, their six children, Catherine Rizzo, and her husband Richard, Jaqueline Ouimette, and her husband Christopher, William Roth, and his wife Theresa, Brian Roth and his wife Meghan, Michael Roth, Robert Roth; sister Elizabeth Dmytriw and brother Joseph McCarthy; grandchildren Jessica Hernandez and her husband Herberth, Christopher Rizzo and his wife Megan, Jordan Ouimette, Hayley Ouimette, Caitlyn Roth, and Liam Roth; and four great grandchildren, Sadie Rizzo, Gianna Rizzo, Christopher Rizzo, and Atley Hernandez.

Catherine was predeceased by her son, Daniel Roth, her parents, George and Alice McCarthy, sisters Ann McCarthy, Mary Matrale, Dorothy Buteau, Marion McCarthy, and brother John McCarthy.

A Catholic memorial mass will be held at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 30 North Fullerton Avenue, Montclair, NJ on September 7, 2024, at 10:30am.
