Diana Cecilia Roberts, daughter of Ruth and Donald Roberts, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2024, surrounded by her family whom she loved and who adored her. Born January 6,1953 in Harlem, New York, Diana lived a life filled with love, laughter, and profound dedication to those around her.

As a native New Yorker and raised with her family in Rockaway Beach, Queens, Diana was known for her high intelligence, unwavering directness, kindness and gentle spirit. Her passion for dance and life were contagious and one in the same. Diana loved to dance, loved life, loved music, the arts, entertainment and especially loved the beach.

Diana had a genuine concern for others and touched countless hearts throughout her community and career. Whether through her volunteer work or her active involvement in charitable causes, Diana's selflessness knew no bounds. She loved helping people!

Diana loved learning and earned a Bachelor of Art Degree at Brooklyn College and a Masters of Administrative Science at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Diana also earned numerous certifications in advanced personal development courses from the top leaders in the field.

Professionally, Diana excelled in many areas and positions in management. She specialized as an executive corporate trainer earning respect and admiration from colleagues in both the public and private business sectors. Diana's integrity, honesty and diligence were amongst her highest values. Her commitment to excellence served as an inspiration to all who had the privilege of working alongside her, and most importantly who learned from her at her last job position as an educator.

Above all, Diana cherished her role as a devoted grandmother and sister. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she found true joy in their company. Diana leaves behind her loving son, Pure Light Allah, daughter-in-law Yvette, her grandchildren, Safi Nur, Munirah, Tahir, and MJ, her sisters Margo and Dona, her brother Don, sister-in-law Tricia, nephews Robert, Richard, Mwani, Damian, a niece Jamine, and a host of grand nieces and nephews who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Diana's legacy of compassion, generosity, and love will continue to live on in the lives of those she touched. Though Diana may be gone, her spirit will forever remain a guiding light for all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Diana will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May she rest in peace, knowing that she made the world a better place through her kindness, grace and for being here.
