Dolores D. Arminio, 93 of Bloomfield, formally of Montclair, passed away peacefully in her
home on December 30, 2023. A mass will be celebrated on Saturday January 6 th at 10:00 am at Our Lady
of Mt. Carmel Church, 94 Pine Street in Montclair. Visitation will be 4-8 pm on Friday January 5 th at
Caggiano Memorial Home, 62 Grove Street, Montclair.
Dolores was a 1949 graduate and majorette of Montclair High School. She was a cafeteria worker at Our
Lady of Mt. Carmel School and a church volunteer, stamping name plates for church envelopes and
helping on bingo nights.
She became an ECG Technician and worked at Montclair Community Hospital until her retirement in
1993. In 1997 she returned to work in Reception at Mountainside Hospital where she remained a valued
employee until the age of 90.
Dolores was an avid baker and loved sharing her treats with her family, friends, neighbors and
coworkers. She loved a good book and a good joke. Dolores was a proud American and said she would
never give up on matters that meant the most to her: her family, her country, and her faith.
Dolores is survived by her husband Michael S. Arminio Sr., her daughter Leanora Micchelli and her
husband Gabe. Her son Michael S. Arminio Jr. Her granddaughter Maria Tullin and her husband Craig
and her beloved great granddaughters Maya and Chloe, and her sister Virginia Cosgrove and many
nieces and nephews.
Dolores is predeceased by her parents Vincenzo and Mary DiGeronimo. Her sisters, Mildred Russo, Mary
Miscia, Rachel Rubino, Sophie Sgroi, Elenore Bilotta, Gloria Lehman, Mercedes Zichelli, and Marianne
Karnas. Her brothers, Joseph A., Benito, Joseph, Daniel and Vincent DiGeronimo.
