Edward grew up in Montclair, where he developed a deep love for sports, his friends, and his family. He attended Immaculate Conception High School, where his height and skill made him a natural center on the school's basketball team. During his years there, Edward built lifelong friendships that he cherished dearly.
A man of strong faith, he was active in his church community and served as an altar boy in his youth. Edward treasured family gatherings—especially during the holidays—and the time spent with his many friends.
After graduating from high school, Edward attended Rutgers University in Newark, earning a degree in Mathematics in 1973. He began his professional career with AT&T in Piscataway, where his dedication and work ethic led him to the position of District Manager.
Edward loved life, loved his family, and loved his friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his uncle Joseph D. Centuori; cousins Dennis P. Centuori , Danette Whalen, Dante Centuori, and Jeannine Rock; and cousins Andrew Cannella, Richard Caruso, Dr. Elissa Santore, Dr. James Santoro, and William Santoro.
Edward was predeceased by his beloved parents, Rita and Jules Cannella, and his aunt and uncle, Lee and Ray Gage, who raised Edward.
