Obituary

Edward William Seib, affectionately known as Eddie, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026, at the Center for Hope in Scotch Plains.

Eddie was born in Newark in 1938. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Marian (née Frusteri). Eddie and Marian lived in Bloomfield for more than 50 years before moving to Livingston in 2020.

Eddie proudly worked for PSE&G for 28 years in the Gas Meter Shop in Springfield, NJ. He was very proud of his career and the many years he devoted to his work.

More than anything, Eddie loved spending time with his daughter, Kathy—his “baby.” Their special bond brought him tremendous happiness, and the time they shared together was among the most cherished parts of his life.

Eddie is survived by his daughter, Kathy Weinberg, and her husband, Jay; his brother, Joseph Seib; and his sister-in-law, Helen.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Center for Hope, 1900 Raritan Road, Scotch Plains, NJ.
