Frank Alexander Daniels
June 30, 1939 – June 26, 2025

It is with heavy hearts and deep gratitude that we announce the passing of Frank Alexander Daniels, a beloved
father, brother, uncle, and friend, who departed this life just four days shy of his 86th birthday.
Frank was born on June 30, 1939, in Pomeroon, Guyana, to Eugenie Scott and Joel Daniels. He was one of ten
children and is lovingly remembered by his surviving siblings: Josephine R. Toussaint, Lloyd R. Daniels, and
Thomas A. Daniels. He was predeceased by Antoinette (Netta) Jordan, (#2 name), Arnold Daniels, Victor C.C.
Daniels, Maitland Daniels, and Clarence E. Daniels.
Frank began his professional life as a police constable in Georgetown, Guyana, in 1965. The following year, he
married Barbara E. Amsterdam, and together they welcomed their son Robert in 1967, and daughter Allison in
1972. Frank often said, "My children are my greatest accomplishment," and he lived every day with that
conviction.
In 1968, Frank emigrated to the United States to create a better life for his family. He settled in New York City,
where he pursued higher education in electrical and mechanical engineering. He graduated from the RCA
Institute in 1971 and from City College of New York in 1977.
Frank built a long and fulfilling career at Xerox Corporation, where he started by repairing copiers and
eventually rose to the position of district manager. During his 25-year tenure, he was known, not only for his
technical skill and work ethic, but also for his commitment to fairness, equity, and opportunity in the workplace.
As an active member of the MAME (Minority Advancement for Management Employees) organization, Frank
was instrumental in challenging racial inequality and was directly involved in hiring and mentoring many
talented individuals, including friends and family.
In 2003, Frank was baptized and became a devoted member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of the
Oranges in New Jersey. He served faithfully in various roles, contributing his time and talents to the weekly
church bulletin, accounting department, and food pantry.
Frank had a generous spirit and a welcoming heart. Whether it was through a hot meal, an open door, or a
thoughtful conversation, he sought to be a friend to all and a helper to anyone in need. His hospitality and quiet
strength were hallmarks of the life he lived, a life of service, kindness strong principles, and enduring love for
his family and community.
In his later years, Frank faced the challenges of aging, diabetes, and heart disease with fortitude. He was
lovingly cared for by his children, Robert and Allison, and regularly nourished by his dear friend Nicola Reis.
He received frequent visits from his nephew Marvin Daniels, daily calls from his niece Camille McCloud, and
ongoing support from his brothers Lloyd and Thomas, who visited with their families despite facing their own
health issues.
Frank spent his final hours surrounded by love and comfort, with his children and granddaughter Cameron by
his side. He passed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, generosity, and unwavering love.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
