Gerald (Gerry) Galasso, 94, died peacefully at his home in Cheshire, CT. A lifelong resident of Montclair,
Gerry moved to Connecticut in 2018 with his sister Vincenza.
Gerry graduated from Montclair High School in 1946. Immediately after graduation, Gerry joined the US
Navy serving his country from June 1946 until May of 1948. Upon his honorable discharge, Gerry
enrolled in Rutgers University, School of Business receiving his Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration on June 7, 1952.
Gerry worked for Proctor & Gamble for several years, before joining American Export Lines, Inc. as a
business manager, until his retirement.
Gerry will be remembered by friends as a very kind and gentle man. He is survived by many friends in
Connecticut and New Jersey.
Gerry was predeceased by his parents, Michele and Lucia Galasso, as well as brothers, Anthony,
Michael, Jr., and sisters Marianna, Marian, and Vincenza.

Burial services will be held on August 21 at Immaculate Conception Cemetery Mausoleum at 11:00 am
under the direction of Caggiano Funeral Home.
