Giuseppina (Daniele) Lotrecchiano, aged 83, of Toms River, New Jersey, entered into eternal life very peacefully on Thursday, December 28, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family in her beloved home.
Giuseppina was born in Aquilonia, Italy to the late Antonio Daniele and Teresa Petullo. She was married at the age of 16 to her beloved late husband, Michael Lotrecchiano, and had four beautiful children, the first flowers of her life. She is survived by her sister, Nicolina; her four children Michael, Maria (Michael) Clausen, Gaetana "Dorina", and Robert; granddaughters Michele (Chris) Aldridge and Erin Spencer; step-grandchildren Peter (Stephanie) Clausen, Corey Clausen, Douglas (Heather) Clausen; great-grandchildren Charlotte, Viola (deceased), Olivia, William and several step-great-grandchildren.
Giuseppina will always be remembered for her amazing smile and sense of humor. She was beloved by everyone who met her and became a surrogate mother to many people over the years, hence her nickname "Mamma Jo". She was also known as Peppinna, Nonna, and Josephine by those who knew and loved her. Her table was always full of delicious homemade food and the home filled with laughter. However, her heart was devoted to her family and they will always love her dearly. Guiseppina also had a deep spiritual life and nurtured a special devotion to St. Anne, Jesus's grandmother. For over 50 years, she made a pilgrimage to the Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré's Basilica in Quebec, Canada, and made many cherished memories with friends and family along the road. She will be deeply missed by all whom she touched.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for donations in her memory to be made to any of the following:
Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré
(add memorial in comments);
Project Purple
(Finding a cure for Pancreatic Cancer);
St. Jude's
(Children's Cancer Research Hospital)
