. Jeanette Cummings , age 93, affectionately known as Dolly, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2023.
Jeanette was born on April 2, 1930, in Newark, New Jersey, to parents Maria and Angelo Miele. Their growing family eventually settled in Montclair where Jeanette attended Montclair High School, later marrying her childhood sweetheart, Bob Cummings.

As a young teen, Jeanette had a keen talent for bookkeeping, and assisted her father with their family owned sanitation business, Angelo Miele and Sons. In the ensuing years, while busy raising her four children, and very involved in their activities, she left her work assisting in medical cardiology, and became the voice of the family business, handling all administrative management.

The center of Jeanette's life was her faith and family. She loved and doted on her grandchildren, who lovingly called her DenDen, and in recent years, the arrival of great grandchildren lit up her life.

Her faith in God was reflected by her warm smile and loving spirit, touching all those who met her, and she never missed an opportunity to tell others about Jesus. Her prayers for those in need were steadfast, and in earlier years her car would be packed with bibles to give others.

Jeanette was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Bob Cummings, parents, Maria and Angelo Miele, and brothers Chris and Sam Miele.

Surviving are her three sons, Bob(Ginni)Cummings, Bill(Maureen)Cummings and Tim (Jan)Cummings, her loving daughter Kimberly Cummings(Mathew Sarnelli), seven grandchildren, Jonathan(Alysa) Cummings, Michael Cummings, Jack Cummings, Amanda Cummings, Brielle Cummings, Quinn Cummings, Sam Cummings, and her great grandchildren, Rylynn and Keller Cummings. She also leaves behind her sister Rosemary(Dominick) Ferrara, brother Joseph Miele(Geraldine) and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Caggiano Memorial Home in Montclair, on Wednesday, June 7 from 4-8pm. A funeral mass will be held at 10am on Thursday, June 8, at Immaculate Conception Church in Montclair, interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery
