Joseph P. Alfano, 82, of Cedar Grove, formerly of Verona and Montclair, passed away on October 21st, 2021 at St. Barnabas. Visiting will be Sunday October 24th, 2021 from 3-6pm at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove Street, Montclair. Funeral service Monday at 11am at the funeral home, with an entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven, East Hanover.



Joseph graduated from Immaculate High School in Montclair, New Jersey. He is retired from The Prudential Insurance Company, as Supervisor of Courier.

Joseph served in the United States Air Force from 1957-1963 with an honorable discharge from the Kirkland Air Force Base in New Mexico. He was a member of the American Legion Post 174.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Angelina Alfano (nee Squangamore), son Joseph and daughter-n- law Toni-Lynn, grandchildren Kayla Burdon and her fiancee David Cardenas, Tyler, Brenna, Peter and John-Paul.

He is predeceased by his parents, Angelo and Marcelite (nee Marion), brothers Robert and Frank, and daughter Tina Burdon.
