Joseph DeFalco passed away on November 29, 2025 at home at the age of 93. Growing up in Montclair, New Jersey, Joe was always a hardworker, working more than one job throughout his entire life. Joe married his wife Florence and settled in Clifton where they had their daughter Cheryl. Joe worked for Western Union for 30 years then later became the head custodian at School #5 in Clifton for 10 years. He was always there to help anyone who needed it, no matter what the task was. He loved to stay busy, often walking, watching the Yankees, and fixing things around the house.
Joe is survived by his devoted daughter Cheryl Jones and two grandchildren Bryan and Kari-Lynn along with her husband Connor Evans. He is predeceased by his loving wife Florence DeFalco (2015) and son-in-law Richard Jones (2017). He loved his family and spending time with them was his biggest joy. Every Sunday in the Fall was spent watching football and eating pasta at his daughter's house.
Once Joe reached 90, he said everyday was a gift and he appreciated every moment that he was still here.
A funeral service will be held at Caggiano Funeral Home in Montclair, New Jersey. A viewing will be held from 9:00-11:00 A.M (prayer service at 11am) on Wednesday, December 3rd. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
