Joseph Russell LaStella, 91, of Glen Ridge, passed away on Monday, January 22nd, 2018. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, January 27th at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Montclair, with an interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair. Joseph was born in Montclair and moved to Glen Ridge where he lived for 55 years before residing in Clifton. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in World War II. Joseph worked as a pattern maker, cutter and cutting room supervisor at Gramercy Mills in Passaic and Riviera Sales in Clifton for 45 years, before retiring 10 years ago.

He is survived by his wife, MaryAnn (nee Pignatello), his daughters Patricia Monterosa and her husband, Michael, and Lori LaStella, his sisters Bridget Carlone and Margaret Rossi, his sister-n-laws and brother-n-law Sandra LaStella, Dolores and Robert Pierce and Mariann Pignatello, many nieces and nephews, and his grandchildren Matthew and Alexis. Joseph was predeceased by his parents Daniel and Christine (nee Corrado), and by his two siblings Daniel LaStella and Evelyn Testa.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Barnabas Cancer Center and Clara Maass Wound Center.
