Karen Testa Obituary
21/3/76 – 21/6/24

Karen Nancy Testa, of Bloomfield, NJ suddenly passed away on Friday June 21, 2024 at the age
of 48. Born in the Isle of Man to Peter and Janet Clague, Karen started playing soccer at the age
of 15 and after high school traveled to Canada. Karen had dreams of playing and coaching
soccer and this love of the sport brought her to London and America where she was recruited
to coach in Montclair, NJ. Karen made deep roots in both the Montclair and Bloomfield
Townships over the last 19 years.
Her passion and love of soccer and coaching was unprecedented. "Coach Karen" was widely
known and loved in the soccer community of Bloomfield. Coaching girls from Little Cleats up
through 8 th grade, she made long lasting connections in her player's lives and continued to
support them throughout high school. She was often seen on the side lines of games cheering
on everyone and just enjoying the shared love of the game. After 15 years working with
Bloomfield soccer club, Karen was pursuing her lifelong dream to open her own soccer camp
this summer.
Karen dedicated her life to her beloved husband, Keith and her two son's Joey and Christian.
She was full of energy and passionate about life and music. She loved to sing, dance and listen
to her brothers make music and DJ. Karen loved spending time at home with her family, her
friends, and her dog Coco. She enjoyed hosting gatherings and bringing her friends and family
together. Fiercely compassionate, a kind and loving neighbor, advocate for all, she was loved
and will be missed by many.
Karen is survived by her husband Keith, her sons Joey and Christian, her dad Peter and wife
Rosalie Clague, her mom Janet Clague, brothers Neal and Christian Clague, in laws Joe and Trish
Testa, Michelle and Devin Casapulla, nieces Annabella and Emilia Casapulla and a host of aunts,
uncles and friends.
