Lori Boggess - November 27, 1968 - June 10, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we've suddenly lost the Divine orange light of Lori Ann Boggess. She transitioned peacefully surrounded by family and friends. On Monday, on June 10th, 2024, at 55 years of age, she shed her physical body to join her beloved father Leslie Boggess, her grandparents, and brother in heaven.
Lori is survived by her adoring wife Angela Boyd, the love of her life. She is also survived by her loving mom Margaret "Marki" Boggess, her siblings, a host of nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles. She is also survived by her constant companion, and the head dog of the "puppy pews," Bentley.
A devoted daughter, wife, teacher and friend of this caliber are only found once in a lifetime. She was also a faithful member of First Congregational Church of Montclair. Many communities across New Jersey are impacted by this loss as she poured her heart and soul into teaching, loving and nurturing children for the last 30 years. These children were looked after with careful awareness to their emotional needs, educational and overall well-being. She treated each child with respect and kindness as if they were her own.
Lori provided a sense of stability for families because they knew their children were in the presence of such a trustworthy, funny and wholesome caregiver. Her ability to bring a grounded, calm and upbeat presence will be unmatched.
The Celebration of Lori's life will be held at First Congregational Church of Church of Montclair (40 South Fullerton Ave, Montclair, NJ 07042) at 1:00pm on Saturday, June 15, 2024. The dress code is playful and casual, as Lori would want. Please wear orange, tie-dye, rainbow, and bright colors. Sneakers and Crocs are encouraged!

All donations will be given to the family to assist with alleviating medical, legal and funeral expenses.
