Obituary

May 1st, 1948, December 11, 2024
"A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take."
Lucienne was born on May 1st, 1948 in Kenscoff, Haiti. Her parents were Dufrenne Cineus and
Cleomene Oscar. She had five siblings. Ufemi Cineus is her only surviving sister. Lucienne married
Levoy Exil in 1976. Together they've had several children: Lissa St Val, Sundia Exil, Denticart Exil,
Eurika Exile and Christina Exile, Tamara Exil, Jean Mary Exil, Ricot Exil, Guethin Exil, Lucner
Coriolan, Michelet Coriolan, Schnyder Exil, Levy Exil.
Her love for her twenty-three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren knew no limit, and she was
considered a mother to her many nephews, nieces, and students.
Lucienne's entire life was devoted to making and nurturing a strong family unit for her children. In the
early 90's, she migrated to the United States to make a better life for herself and secure a better future for
her family.
As an amazing teacher, she shaped and educated many! Her creativity was evident in her embroidery,
and later as Home Health Aide she made a difference in the life of everyone she encountered. She
positively impacted everyone she has met. Her involvement into the lives of those around her made them
better human beings. Lucienne invested in the future of others and their long-term success made her
happy.
She was a woman of great strength, kindness, and grace, known for her unwavering love and devotion to
her family. As a mother, she provided her children with love, guidance, and support. She created a warm
and nurturing home where all felt welcome. Her role as a grandmother/great-grandmother was equally
as important to her, and she found great joy in spending time with her many grandchildren, sharing
wisdom, laughter, and love.
She will be remembered by her extended family, friends, and all whose lives she touched with her
kindness and generosity.
Throughout her life, Lucienne remained deeply committed to her faith and her community. She led with
kindness no matter what the circumstances were. Whether through her role as a devoted teacher in the
early years of her life, later on as an HHA, or simply as a friend to those in need, she was always ready to
lend a hand, offer a listening ear, or share her wisdom with others.

In her free time, Lucienne enjoyed playing bingo, painting, embroidery and spending time with her
grandchildren and friends. And she was known for her exceptional cooking skills and her ability to make
everyone feel at home . Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her.
Lucienne transitioned on December 11, 2024.
