Obituary

Our mother, grandmother and great grandmother Mary Manley sadly
passed away December 6, 2023, at the age of 100. Predeceased by her
husband of 50 years Frank Manley. She is survived by her children Robert,
Eileen, Kenneth (Terese) and Russell and her grandchildren Kristi, Timothy,
Joyce, Stuart, Clifford, Sarah, Tyler, Colleen, Juliet, Kaitlin and Alyssa and her
13 great grandchildren Nicole, Marcus, Chloe, Ethan, Payton, Rex, Andrew,
Stella, Ronin, Frankie, Conor, Nate and Colin.
Mary worked at I.T.T. during World War II before marrying Frank and starting
their family. She was known as "Miss Mary" to the hundreds and hundreds of
children she cared for over the years. Mary proudly oversaw the nursery at St.
James Episcopal Church in Montclair for over 30 years.
A longtime parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a
lifetime resident of Montclair, Mary was beloved by her family and friends and
the many lives she touched with her laughter, sense of humor, generosity and
kindness. Above all she was a devoted mother, grandmother and great
grandmother and we were so lucky to have her with us and loving us for so
long.
A wake will be held at Caggiano Memorial Home for Funerals, Montclair on
Sunday December 10, 2023 from 3pm – 7pm and a funeral mass will be held
on Monday December 11, 2023 at 10am at Immaculate Conception Church,
Montclair with burial immediately following at Immaculate Conception
Cemetery, Montclair.
