Matthew (Matteo) Scola, 92, of Landing, passed away on Wednesday July 26th. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Monday July 31st, at St Phillip the Apostle Church in Clifton, with an interment at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visiting will be held on Sunday July 30th from 2-6pm at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St., Montclair. Caggianomemorial.com.

Matthew was born and raised in Montclair, and lived in Bloomfield for 45 years before moving to Landing. He was a salesman for Friendship Dairy for many years. He is survived by his children, Gene Scola and his wife Margaret Ellen of Landing, Susan Pszonek and her husband Joseph, of Sparta, a sister, Michelina Tutalo of Verona, brother-in-law Nick Lepore of Tucson, brother-in-law Joseph Catalano of Bloomfield, his grandchildren, Christopher and Jordan, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife Susan (nee Lepore), and his sister Angelina Catalano.
