Michael S. Arminio Sr. of Bloomfield, formerly of Montclair, passed away on April 3rd, 2024 after a long illness.
Mike was creative and accomplished in all of his endeavors, both personally and professionally. He enjoyed all sports and excelled in bowling, softball, ping pong, horseshoes, golf, bocce, boxing and cheering on the NY Jets. He was a knowledgeable landscaper, a talented artist, and was a master of many trades besides his chosen specialty in the heating oil business at Lionetti Fuel Company until his retirement.
Above all, Mike was a family man. He loved and provided for his family and saw to their comfort for as long as they lived. He spent his retirement years using his artistic talents making furniture for his daughter and a dollhouse for his granddaughter, which his great granddaughters can now enjoy. Michael honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean war, and was a proud member of the American Legion, The Elks, and Unico.
Michael Arminio is predeceased by his parents; Daniel and Katherine (Mondsini). His loving wife Dolores (DiGeronimo). His son Michael S. Arminio Jr. His brothers Frank and Daniel and his sisters Marie Intile and Jean DeCaito. He is survived by his daughter Leanora Micchelli and her husband Gabriel, his granddaughter Maria Tullin and her husband Craig, his great grandchildren Maya and Chloe, and his sister Kathleen Gonello. There will be a memorial service on April 13th at 11: AM at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 94 Pine Street, Montclair, NJ 07042.
