Molly J. Colasanti, (nee Suppa), 75, of Little Falls, passed away peacefully in her home on May
20, 2024. She was raised in Bloomfield by Connie and David Del Sordo. She has been
predeceased by them as well as her sister Patty. Molly was the heart of our home and family.
Molly was married for over 30 years to her soulmate, Ralph, who preceded her in death. She
raised her children, Ralph and Dina, in a happy and loving home to be independent and
thoughtful adults. She was overjoyed when they met their spouses, Kim and Andrew who were
instantly accepted into the family. As a grandmother to Ava, Nico, Kaitlyn, and Andrew, she was
a fun-loving grandmother who was known as Mema and the "other" grandma. She loved
engaging with them in all of their endeavors and was their biggest supporter as they grew up.
She was involved so deeply in their lives, that many of their friends considered her "Grandma".
Molly was always so proud and loved to brag about her grandchildren's achievements every
chance she had.
Molly is survived by her brother, David DelSordo, Jr. and wife, Amie, and their children, Camryn
and Logan. As "Aunt Molly", she loved the youthfulness and laughter they brought to her life.
She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Anthony Colasanti (Sonia), her sister-in-law Debbie
Szapucki, and her nephew and niece Joey and Deanna Cuozzo. She was also predeceased by
her sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Denise Cuozzo, Joe Cuozzo, and Michael Szapucki.
Molly had multiple friend groups, starting with her Bloomfield High School crew from the Class of
1966, her lifelong friends from Club DeVoe and Bloomfield, the friends from The Mill, and all of
her work friends. Molly worked at North Jersey Cardiovascular Group as an office manager for
many years. Her most recent employment was at Bloomfield High School where she worked as
a teacher's assistant for 18 years, where she recently retired from. People who knew Molly
closely would describe her as "one-of-a-kind". She was honest, fun-loving, tough-as-nails, kind,
and irreplaceable. You could feel her presence just by being in the same room as her.
Molly was the heart and soul of our family. She will be truly missed by all. Life will definitely be a
little less colorful without her here. In lieu of flowers, please honor Molly by sharing a story or
memory of her, or just have a toast in her memory!
