Monique Yvette Wallace was born to Barbara and Luther Wallace at Mountainside Hospital of Montclair, New Jersey, on November 10, 1966. She was the youngest of two from that union. She and her family spent their early years in Orange before the family moved to Montclair where Monique attended Mount Hebron school and later graduated from Montclair High school in 1985. After graduating from high school, Monique enrolled in Katherine Gibbs school with a focus on becoming a secretary. She worked in several different capacities prior to hitting her stride as the 1st 911 dispatcher for the Montclair Police Department. After leaving the Police Department, she entered entrepreneurism in sales. Before "Living my best life" was a saying, Monique was already living her best life by her own rules. If she had an opinion about something, she would state it with conviction and no hesitation. That was her story and she stuck with it. Monique loved to travel. She visited family and friends in many states across the United States and also the Bahamas to Tobago. Moe had a distinct voice and laugh that'd come out loud on the most fun nights. She loved to dance, even with two left feet. She also loved cards, spades and poker at cookouts and game nights. You could even catch her at casinos in Atlantic City. After playing cards, she'd enjoy her absolute favorite food, crabs. Monique was a family person and an asset to the Montclair community as a whole. She was known for being generous and helping anyone she met, always providing a helpful hand, if it was given them a ride to the grocery store or offering a place to live.

Monique lived her life like it was GOLDEN and she always encouraged others to do the same.

Monique Yvette Wallce transitioned on February 23rd, 2022. Due to her battle with lung cancer. She has made a positive impact on those around her, but her time is done so she can be at peace.

Monique was preceded in death by her parents Barbara and Luther Wallce. She leaves behind her children, Danielle Wallace, Terrence, Mary, and Terrell White, as well as her BELOVED grandson Wyatt Breeze. Brother Lyle Wallace (Jennifer) Brother Gerald Vincent Wallace and a sister Carla Jackson-Kearny, nieces Serena and Latesha and nephews Andre and Nafi, 1st cousin Douglass Harris, A host of aunts, uncles, and cousins and many more dearly loved ones than possible to count.
