Nicola "Nick" Freda, 79, of Fairfield, passed away on Sunday April 3rd, at St Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. A mass Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:45am on Saturday April 9th at Saint Thomas More church in Fairfield Entombment at Gate of Heaven cemetery and mausoleum in East Hanover. Visiting hours Friday April 8th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Caggiano Memorial 62 Grove St Montclair.
Nick was born and raised in Deliceto (FG) Italy, before coming to Newark East Orange and eventually settling in Fairfield. He was a Carpenter by trade.

He is survived by his children, Pasquale Freda, and his wife Lucrezia, daughters Adriana Caronia and her husband Richard, Anita Stabile and her husband Donald, Paula Didyk and her husband Jeff, and by his grandchildren, Richard, Vincent, Samantha, Elyssa, Christian, Stephanie, Jeffrey, and Matthew, and by his siblings Anthony Freda, Rocchina Collorafi, and Rosa Scarmozzino, and was predeceased by his parents Pasquale and Carmela Freda.
