Pamela Elizabeth Christian-Hampton was born on June 11, 1950, in Montclair, New Jersey, the beloved daughter of the late Albert and Viola Christian. She was educated in the Montclair public schools and remained rooted in the community throughout her life.
Affectionately known as Pam, she was a longtime member of Union Baptist Church, where her father served as a deacon. She worked at Montclair Day Nurseries, Grove Street Pharmacy, and later spent over 25 years in the banking industry before retiring from Bank of America.
Pam was known for her warm heart, loving nature, and gift for hospitality. She found joy in baking pies and cakes during the holidays and loved decorating her home to bring seasonal cheer. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening, and needlework.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and "bonus mom" to many. Her signature dishes, including mac & cheese, pot roast, and iced tea brought comfort to countless gatherings.
Pam was predeceased by her brothers, Albert Jr and Ronald. She is survived by her husband Franklin Hampton, sons Richard and Mark Christian, grandchildren Desiree, Richard Jr and Andru Christian. Nephews Jason Christian and Christophor Stone, and a host of loving relatives and friends. Pam will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
