It is with great sadness that our dear mother, Patricia Jean Longo, passed away on August 7th, 2022, at the age of 89. She was a dear, sweet mother, who was always there when we needed her. She was blessed with many friends, especially her cousin MaryJo Caggiano, who she spent many loving times with.
Visiting Thursday, August 11th, from 4pm-7pm, at Caggiano Memorial Home, 62 Grove Street, Montclair, New Jersey. Funeral mass on Friday, August 12th, 10:00am at St. Catherine's Church, Cedar Grove, New Jersey.
Born in Montclair, New Jersey on June 4th 1933 to the late Vincent and Ruth DeMaio, she lived most of her life in Montclair and Bloomfield. She is predeceased by her husband Anthony. She is survived by her sister Jackie Perrotti, her brother Richard DeMaio (Mary), her loving children Stephen (Patty), Renee Stamer (John), Anthony (LuAnn).
Her greatest joy was her loving grandchildren, Anthony, Nicky (Carolina), Stephen, John Daniel, Dean and Samantha. She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.
For many years, Patricia was a nurse at St. Vincent's in Montclair, then Cedar Grove. She was a very devoted nurse who enjoyed caring for the elderly. Her biggest accomplishment was runner-up for Nurse Of The Year. Our family thought that was a great honor.
The past few years our mother resided at Sunrise of West Essex, where she was called 'Mayor of Sunrise', because she always helped organize activities.
