Patrick Joseph Burns Jr., age 90, of Bayville,NJ passed away on January 3, 2025. Patrick was
born February 13, 1934 to Patrick J.Burns Sr and Nancy (nee Filandino).

Patrick is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Margaret (nee Cuoco), their two children
Patrick and Francesca, four grandchildren, Amanda Burns, John (Jack), Ava, and Patrick Huss.

Patrick was the youngest of three boys. He leaves behind his brother William and was
predeceased by his brother John and son-in-law John Huss.

Patrick graduated from West Orange High School, attended Juniata College on a football
scholarship. After leaving Juniata he attended Seton Hall University where he received a
Bachelor Arts Degree in English and a Master's Degree in English. He attended Fairleigh
Dickenson where he received a Master's Degree in Education. He then returned to Seton Hall
to receive a Doctorate in Education.

Patrick began his teaching career at South Junior High in Bloomfield,NJ. After leaving South Junior High
he continued teaching English at Cedar Ridge High School in Old Bridge, NJ, where he eventually
became Principal. Retiring at 60 he continued to work as a consultant for the State of NJ, for Kean
University, Jersey City Board of Education, and Roselle Board of Education.

Patrick was a loving and devoted husband, wonderful father, and no one could have asked for a better
grandfather. His family was the joy of his life. He will be missed.

The family has entrusted Caggiano Memorial Home with the arrangements. Wake is scheduled for
Wednesday January 8 from 4pm-8pm, 62 Grove Street, Montclair,NJ.

Mass will be held on Thursday at 11am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 94 Pine Street Montclair, NJ
