Ramon L. Alverio Sr, 75, born July 15,1943 of Newark, passed away on Thursday March 14th, 2019. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am on Monday March 18th, at St. Peter's Church in Belleville. Interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair. Visiting hours from 1-5pm on Sunday March 17th, at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair.


Ramon was born and raised in Maunabo, Puerto Rico, moved to the Bronx before settling in Newark. He was a supervisor at Liberty Optical in Newark before retiring.


He is survived by his wife Lilliam (nee Leoteau) of 45 years, his children Ramon Alverio Jr, and Daniel Alverio, his grandchildren Sebastian, Gabriel, Daniel, and Nathan Alverio, and by his sister Guillermina, and 2 brothers Pedro and Fello, and many nieces and nephews.
