Rocco Melillo Jr., passed away suddenly on August 14th, 2019. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am Friday August 23rd, at St Lucy's Church in Newark.

Rocco was born and raised in Newark and resided there for most of his life. He was a VOIP engineer and was most recently employed with SiriusXM in New York City.

Rocco had a love for music and playing his trumpet. He was a lifelong fan of the Knicks and Jets. He was a classy gentleman with a flair for love and fashion, he was always the best dressed. He was always ready for a good time and was the life of any party, and always the first on the dance floor. Rocco had a smile for everyone and a hand to help anyone in need.

He is survived by the light of his life, his daughter Olivia and her mother Elizabeth Liaci and her son Paolo, whom he referred to as his nephew, and his sister CarlaAnn Zazzara and her husband Joseph and nephews Joseph and Giancarlo, his brother Ricci Melillo and his nephews Joseph and Anthony and niece Antonella Melillo,and his precious dog Mini, and was predeceased by his beloved mother Carol Ann (nee DeLuca) and father Rocco Melillo.
