Stephen Korbel of Montclair, NJ, passed away on the morning of May 13, 2019. He was 53 years old. Memorial services will be held this Saturday May 18th at 11:00 am, First United Methodist Church, 24 Fullerton Avenue, Montclair, NJ.


Mr. Korbel had a long career in Trust and Estate Administration, but his focus in life was his home and family. A skilled musician and magnificent photographer with a sharp, soulful eye, Mr. Korbel also was a passionate soccer and Formula 1 fan. Born in Brooklyn, Mr. Korbel moved to Chesterfield, NJ as a child where he attended Burlington Regional High School. He was a 1988 graduate of the University of Vermont.


Mr. Korbel is survived by his wife, LeAnne, and four children, Britton, Travis, Wade, and Gigi. He also leaves a brother, Andrew Korbel, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Christy Shoup, a mother-in-law Janice Shoup, and several nieces and nephews.
