Vincent Daniel Gautieri, Esq., a lifelong resident of Montclair, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on February 5, 2025 at the age of 94.

Vincent was born May 21, 1930 to the late Danny and Frances Gautieri and was the brother of the late Marie Stoddard Gautieri.

A graduate of Montclair High School in 1948, he went on to Seton Hall University and Law School, where he earned his law degree in 1955. Throughout his life he remained a devoted Seton Hall basketball fan and dedicated season ticket holder for over fifty-years.

He began his law career by opening his own practice at 11 South Fullerton Avenue where he quickly became a respected Montclair real estate attorney.

Vincent was predeceased by his beloved wife, Paula (nee McDonald) and is survived by their three children: Daniel (Kim), Frances Hatfield (Don), David (Lorrie), along with their ten loving grandchildren: Corinne, Kyle, Alyssa, Bridget, Ian, Trevor, David, Matthew, Jack, and Paige.

Also surviving are his wife, Erica, her son Gary (Judy), as well as nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors who will miss him dearly.

Vincent's children would like to thank his caregiver, Kate, for the compassion and kindness she displayed towards their father over the past two years. Her support during this time was deeply appreciated.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Vincent's life at Caggiano Memorial Home, 62 Grove Street, Montclair, NJ 07042 on Sunday, February 9th from 12:00 – 3:00 pm. Service will begin at 11:00 am on Monday, February 10th. Interment to follow at Mt. Hebron Cemetery at 851 Valley Road, Montclair, NJ 07043.
