Vincent Thomas Mercadante Owned landscaping company in New Providence, Vincent Thomas Mercadante passed away on Saturday in Daughters of Israel in West Orange, at the age of 98. Visitation will be held in the Caggiano Funeral Home in Montclair, NJ on Friday September 13th from 4-7. A Service will be in the chapel at 6pm

Vincent Mercadante was born in Union, NJ and resided in the Montclair, West Orange area for most of his life. He owned and operated V & J Mercadante Landscaping Company for 60 years with his twin brother, Joseph, in New Providence, retiring 18 years ago. Vincent Mercadante served 2 years in combat in active duty in WW11 traveling to Japan, England and Germany. He was part of Company G 38.
He is survived by his children. Son Vincent Mercadante, wife Maria, their children, Rocco, Vinnie and Natalie. Son Gary Mercadante, wife Maryellen, their children, Gary, wife Erin, Laura, Cara, husband Chris, and great grandchildren John and Owen. Son Kenneth Mercadante, wife Chantel children Michael and Gianna. Daughter Susan Del Russo, husband Mark and their children Stephanie, Gina, Dominic, wife Gina Maria and Daniel, wife Abigail. He is Predeceased by his family, parents, Grace and Thomas Mercadante of Clark, brother Joseph of New Providence, sister, Mary Damiano of Irvington, brother Thomas of Clark and sister Cecelia Cheico of New Providence.
