Obituary

William "Billy" Zinicola, 61, of Belleville, NJ, passed away peacefully at home
on June 12, 2023, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer.
Visiting on Thursday, June 15 th between 3 pm- 8 pm at Caggiano Memorial
Funeral Home, 62 Grove Street, Montclair. A mass will be celebrated at
9:30 am on Friday, June 16 th , 2023, at St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic
Church, 60 Byrd Avenue, Bloomfield. Repass to be private.
Born in Newark in 1962, Billy, affectionately known as "Boss" by his family
and friends, grew up in Nutley and worked at his family business, Zinicola's
Bakery, since he was a teenager. Founded by his grandfather, Zinicola's
breads, baked-fresh daily by three generations at their bakery on King Street
in Nutley, were a staple in northern NJ grocery stores and restaurants for
almost 100 years. Billy ran the family business for the past thirty years.

Billy is survived by his greatest love, his wife, LuAnn Zinicola (nee Stoeckel), and their
beloved Boston Terriers, Luca and Frankie, his children, who he was most
proud of, William Zinicola and his wife, Amy, Christi(Zinicola) Tuozzoli and
her husband, Zak, his sisters Tina Brzoska and Annette Zinicola and brother,
George, many nieces and nephews, including a special bond with his nephews,
Ed Brzoska and godson Joey Brzoska, and by his grandchildren Paige, Aubrey,
Sadie and Quinn. Billy was predeceased by his parents John and Christine and
his brother, John and by his cherished dogs, Casey and Shorty.
